12.R. 24-023 Metro Hot Spot Intersections: Whittier Boulevard at Santa Fe\nSprings Road and Whittier Boulevard at Painter Avenue Improvement\nProject – Award of Contract\nRecommendation:\n1) Award the Construction contract to Granite Construction Company in the\namount of $11,626,918 for the construction of the 24-023 Metro Hot Spot\nIntersections: Whittier Boulevard at Santa Fe Springs Road and Whittier\nBoulevard at Painter Avenue Improvement Project;\n2) Reject all other bids;\n3) Authorize the City Manager to sign the contract on behalf of the City;\n4) Approve $1,162,692 in contingencies for the 24-023 Metro Hot Spot\nIntersections: Whittier Boulevard at Santa Fe Springs Road and Whittier\nBoulevard at Painter Avenue Improvement Project, subject to the\napproval of the City Manager; and\n5) Adopt Resolution No. 2024-76, amending the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Budget\nwith a supplemental appropriation for 24-023 Metro Hot Spots\nIntersections: Whittier Boulevard at Santa Fe Springs Road and Whittier\nBoulevard at Painter Avenue Improvement Project.
