14. 24-55774 Recommendation to adopt Specifications No. RFP PW-24-371 and award a\ncontract to TranSystems Corporation, of Santa Ana, CA, for providing professional\nengineering services for the Clark Avenue Bridge over Los Cerritos Channel\nWidening Project, in an amount of $205,000, authorize a 20 percent contingency in\nthe amount of $41,000, for a total contract amount not to exceed $246,000, for a\nperiod of two years, with the option to renew for three additional one-year periods,\nat the discretion of the City Manager; and, authorize City Manager, or designee, to\nexecute all documents necessary to enter into the contract, including any\nnecessary subsequent amendments;\nIncrease appropriations in the Capital Projects Fund Group in the Public Works\nDepartment by $164,000, offset by Federal Highway Bridge Program funds from\nthe California Department of Transportation (BHLS-5108(173)); and\nIncrease appropriations in the Capital Projects Fund Group in the Public Works\nDepartment by $164,000, offset by transfer of Federal Highway Bridge Program\nfunds from the Capital Grant Fund.
