5.8 Grant Award and Appropriations: Accept and Appropriate Grant Funds from the San Diego\nSeniors Community Foundation\nReport Number: 24-0310\nLocation: Norman Park Senior Center, 270 F Street\nDepartment: Parks & Recreation\nG.C. § 84308: No\nEnvironmental Notice: The activity is not a “Project” as defined under Section 15378 of the\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act State Guidelines. Therefore, pursuant to State Guidelines\nSection 15060(c)(3) no environmental review is required.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nAdopt a resolution A) accepting two grants from the 2024 San Diego Seniors Community\nFoundation, one for “No Senior Alone for the Holidays” in the amount of $3,500 and the other\nfor “Empower San Diego Senior Centers” in the amount of $12,600 and B) amending the fiscal\nyear 2024-25 budget by appropriating funds to the Parks and Recreation Section of the Other\nGrants Fund for this purpose (4/5 vote required).
