Declaring the City of STEM the “Official Science Festival of Los Angeles\nCounty”\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Hahn and Mitchell: Declare the\nCity of STEM and the City of STEM + Los Angeles Maker Faire event at\nExposition Park the “Official Science Festival of Los Angeles County;”\nencourage all County residents to visit cityofstem.org to learn more and attend\nthe City of STEM + Los Angeles Maker Faire event, to be held on April 12,\n2025; and encourage County Departments including, but not limited to, the\nDepartments of Beaches and Harbors, Health Services, Internal Services,\nMedical Examiner, Public Health, Public Works and Youth Development, LA\nCounty Library, Los Angeles County Office of Education, and Los Angeles\nCounty’s Delete the Divide, to support outreach efforts and encourage\nparticipation in the 2025 City of STEM activities and the City of STEM + Los\nAngeles Maker Faire event.
