11. CONSIDERATION OF AN AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO SOUTH COAST FIRE\nEQUIPMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,239,575.26, FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 2028\nPIERCE ENFORCER PUC FIRE ENGINE UTILIZING THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON\nAREA COUNCIL (HGAC) COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM; AND\nCONSIDERATION OF A REAPPROPRIATION OF $282,608 FOR THE PURCHASE OF\nA 2024 FORD E-450 AMBULANCE WITH AN ADDITIONAL $22,000 FROM FUND\nBALANCE TO COVER RADIO EQUIPMENT AND COST INCREASES, FOR A TOTAL\nNOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $304,608\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Award a contract to South Coast Fire Equipment utilizing Houston-Galveston Area\nCouncil (HGAC) nationwide government procurement program pursuant to\nMunicipal Code Section 2.99-29(19) and the City's Purchasing Policy for the\npurchase of a 2028 Pierce Enforcer PUC Fire Engine, in the amount of\n$1,239,575.26;\n2. Reappropriate $282,608.00 for the purchase of a 2024 Ford E-450 Ambulance\nbased on the executed purchase agreement with Republic EVS dated April 24,\n2023, and approve an additional appropriation of $22,000.00 to cover radio\nequipment and cost increases, for a total not-to-exceed amount of $304,608;\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute the purchase agreements and other\ndocuments in support thereof; and\n4. Authorize the Finance Department to transfer $304,608 from Fund 116 - Special\nProject Fund to account 116-5010-5011-8540-000 to cover the cost of the\nambulance vehicle purchase and upfit.
