DISCUSSION AND DIRECTION REGARDING (I) THE MEMBERSHIP COMPOSITION\nOF CERTAIN COMMISSIONS CONTEMPLATED FOR MERGER (MOBILITY &\nTRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AND PUBLIC WORKS AND DESIGN REVIEW\nBOARD AND PLANNING COMMISSION), (II) IRREGULARITIES IN THE TERMS OF\nAPPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO COMMISSIONS AND PROVIDING A RESOLUTION\nREGARDING MEMBERS' TERMS (III) CONSIDER DIRECTION TO THE CITY\nATTORNEY TO REVIEW AND AMEND THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE IV (BOARDS\nAND COMMISSIONERS) OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE SOUTH PASADENA MUNICIPAL\nCODE REGARDING TERMS, VACANCIES, AND OTHER PROCEDURAL MATTERS\nAND PROVIDE A DRAFT ORDINANCE FOR CITY COUNCIL REVIEW\nRecommendation\nStaff recommends that the City Council discuss and provide direction to City Staff\nregarding the (i) the membership composition of certain commissions contemplated for\nmerger (Mobility & Transportation Commission and Public Works and Design Review\nBoard and Planning Commission), (ii) irregularities in the terms of appointment of\nmembers to commissions and providing a resolution regarding members' terms (iii)\nconsider direction to the City Attorney to review and amend the provisions of Article IV of\nChapter 2 of the South Pasadena Municipal Code regarding Boards and Commissions\nregarding terms, vacancies, and other procedural matters and provide a draft ordinance\nfor City Council review.
