18. 24-797 Petition to repeal Ordinance No. 4318 Deleting Huntington Beach\nMunicipal Code Chapter 2.66 - Community-Parent Guardian Review\nBoard for Procurement of Children’s Library Materials, and Adding\nSection 2.30.090 - Selection and Use of Library Materials\nRecommended Action:\nA) Adopt Resolution No. 2025 -04, “A Resolution of the City Council of the City of\nHuntington Beach Accepting the Certificate as to Verification of Signatures on Petition\nfrom the Orange County Registrar of Voters Regarding the Initiative Petition Entitled “An\nOrdinance to Amend the Huntington Beach Municipal Code by Deleting Chapter 2.66\nThereof Entitled ‘Community Parent Guardian Review Board for Procurement of\nChildren’s Library Materials’ and Adding Section 2.3 0.090 Thereto Entitled ‘Selection\nand Use of Library Materials;’” and,\nB) Order a “Report of Effect of Proposed Initiative” pursuant to California Elections\nCode Section 9212, presented to the City Council within the timeframe described, but\nno later than 30 days after the elections official certifies to the City Council the\nsufficiency of the petition .
