CC 8. Cypress Reservoir Water Booster Improvements Project – Project No. W2503 – Award\nof Contract to Minako America Corporation for a not-to-exceed amount of $877,000\nStaff Recommendation:\n1. Approve plans and specifications for the Cypress Reservoir Water Booster\nImprovements Project – Project No. W2503;\n2. Award a contract for the Cypress Reservoir Water Booster Improvements Project to\nMinako America Corporation as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for a\nnot-to-exceed amount of $877,000 and authorize the City Manager to execute the\ncontract;\n3. Authorize a 10% contingency amount of $87,700 for any unforeseen construction\nexpenses;\n4. Approve a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) between the City of Covina and\nSiterep Construction Services, Inc for Inspection Services for a not-to-exceed\namount of $75,600 and authorize the City Manager to execute the PSA; and\n5. Adopt Resolution CC 2025-01 appropriating $240,300 from Water CIP Fund – Fund\nBalance for use toward the Cypress Reservoir Water Booster Improvements Project\n– Project No. W2503.
