B Consideration and possible action to authorize Legislative Subpoenas be\nserved on the Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los Angeles; and\nadopt Resolution No. 25-03 – A Resolution authorizing the City Clerk to issue\nlegislative subpoenas for the purpose of determining the City Council’s legal\nauthority to adopt the California Fire Code (Code of California Regulations,\nTitle 24, Part 9) and authorizing the Building Official to review building plans\nin accordance with California Building Standards § 105.4 (Code of California\nRegulations, Title 24, Parts 1 and 2).\nRecommendation to City Council: 1) Adopt Resolution No. 25-03 to authorize the\nCity Clerk to issue subpoenas for legislative fact-finding related to City adoption of\nthe California Fire Code and City review of building plans submitted to the Building\nOfficial seeking building permits; or 2) Alternatively, discuss and take other action\nrelated to this item.
