RESOLUTION DECLARING FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE STREET TREE\nPLANTING PROJECT PURSUANT TO THE PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACT\nWITH SDC ENGINEERING INCORPORATED\nSummary:\nThe purpose of the City Street Tree Planting Project is to enhance the urban\nlandscape and promote environmental sustainability. On May 14, 2024, the City\nCouncil awarded a contract to SDC Engineering Incorporated (SDC\nEngineering) to plant 200 trees at various locations throughout the City and\nprovide maintenance for a six-month term. SDC Engineering successfully\ncompleted the work for the City Street Tree Planting Project in accordance with\nthe latest planting guidelines and recommendations outlined in the Street Tree\nMaster Plan. SDC Engineering performed the scope of work in compliance with\nthe project specifications and to the satisfaction of the Public Works\nDepartment. Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution declaring the\nwork performed by SDC Engineering as complete and in conformance with the\napproved plans and specifications.\nStrategic Plan Goal(s):\nGoal No. 4 Infrastructure: Maintain and improve the City’s physical\ninfrastructure, water system and recreational spaces.\nRecommendation:\nAdopt a resolution, entitled:\nA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING\nWORK TO BE COMPLETED IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE PLAN\nSPECIFICATIONS FOR THE STREET TREE PLANTING PROJECT IN\nACCORDANCE WITH THE CONTRACT ENTERED INTO BETWEEN SDC\nENGINEERING INCORPORATED AND THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL
