7. AWARD OF PROGRESS PARK PLAZA EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENT\nCONTRACT PROJECT (CIP NO. 9352) – APPROVAL OF PLANS AND\nSPECIFICATIONS, AWARD OF CONTRACT, AND FINDING THE\nPROJECT EXEMPT FROM THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL\nQUALITY ACT PURSUANT TO THE CLASS 1 CATEGORICAL\nEXEMPTION\nRecommended Action: 1) Approve the plans and specifications as\ndetailed in the bid documents, with respect to design criteria; 2) Find\nthe project exempt from CEQA; and 3) Award the contract for the\nProgress Park exterior improvement project to ARC Construction,\nInc., La Crescenta, California in the amount of $1,646,401.22, and\nauthorize the Mayor or her designee to execute the agreement.
