(Rev.\n2/6/25)\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source:\nThis action will authorize an increase in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget\nfor the La Jolla Streetscape Project, and to accept, appropriate, and expend an amount not\nto exceed $1,000,000.00. This grant does not require a local match.\nCouncil District(s) Affected: 1.\nProposed Actions:\nSubitem-A: (R-2025-278) (Rev. 2/6/25)\nResolution determining that the La Jolla Streetscape Project is exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act Pursuant to Sections 15301 and 15303 of the CEQA\nGuidelines.\nSubitem-B: (R-2025-277) (Rev. 2/6/25)\nResolution authorizing the Mayor, or his designee, to make applications to the California\nEnergy Commission and take all necessary actions to secure funding in an amount not-to-\nexceed $1,000,000 in Fund 600001, GRANT FUND-STATE, for the La Jolla Streetscape\nProject;\nAuthorizing the Chief Financial Officer to increase the Fiscal Year 2025 CIP Budget, and\nto accept, appropriate and expend an amount not-to-exceed $1,000,000, for the purpose of\nthe La Jolla Streetscape Project, contingent upon receipt of a fully executed Grant\nAgreement if the Grant funding is secured.\nCommittee Actions Taken:\nThis item was heard at the Active Transportation and Infrastructure Committee meeting\non April 25, 2024.\nACTION: Motion by Vice Chair LaCava, second by Committee Member von Wilpert, to\nrecommend Council approval of staff’s proposed actions.\nVOTE: 4-0; Whitburn-yea, LaCava-yea, Foster III-yea, von Wilpert-yea.\nTransportation Department: Gary Chui, (619) 533-3770\nCity Attorney Contact: Ray Palmucci
