15.n APPROVAL OF SPECIAL EVENT LONG-TERM AGREEMENT WITH DAY AT THE\nBEACH EVENTS FOR THE HERMOSA BEACH OPEN IN 2025 THROUGH 2027 -\n25-CR-019\nCEQA: Approval of the proposed long-term agreement would be exempt from the\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section\n15304. The long-term agreement permits an event which is a minor, temporary use\nof land in the form of a professional adult beach volleyball tournament. This type of\ntemporary event will have negligible or no permanent effect on the environment.\n(Lead Special Events and Filming Coordinator Madison Schrock)\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends City Council:\n1. Approve a long-term agreement (LTA) with Day at the Beach Events\n(DATBE) for the Hermosa Beach Open from 2025 through 2027;\n2. Approve an exemption to the Special Events Policy Guide to allow 17\nevents in September; and\n3. Authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute and the City Clerk to\nattest to the long-term agreement, subject to approval by the City Attorney\n(Attachment 3).
