9.a. APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSIONERS TO THE NEWLY\nESTABLISHED ADVANCEMENT OF WOMEN AND GIRLS\nCOMMISSION AND CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF\nRESOLUTION NO. 23-23, FIXING THE AMOUNTS AND CONDITIONS\nOF COMPENSATION FOR THE COMMISSION\nAppointments to be made to the newly established Advancement of\nWomen and Girls Commission, which is a five-member commission. The\ncurrent term will run through December 31, 2023 and adoption of\nresolution setting conditions and compensation for the commission.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Consider appointing five individuals seeking appointment to the newly\nestablished Advancement of Women and Girls Commission for a ten-\nmonth term commencing March 14, 2023, through December 31,\n2023; and\n2. Adopt Resolution No. 23-23, fixing the amounts and conditions of\ncompensation for the advancement of women and girls commission.
