SCHEDULE FOR APPOINTMENTS TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION,\nPARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION, AND CIVIL SERVICE\nCOMMISSION\nSummary:\nThe City is currently seeking residents who are interested in serving on the\nPlanning, Parks and Recreation, and Civil Service Commissions. The City\nCouncil will consider dates to conduct commissioner candidate interviews and\nappointments.\nStrategic Plan Goal(s):\nGoal No. 5 High-Functioning Government: Strengthen internal communication,\nrecruitment, retention, systems, and processes to increase the\neffectiveness and efficiency of City services.\nRecommendation:\nApprove the proposed recruitment schedule and select a date to conduct\ncommissioner candidate interviews and appointments. Staff proposes\nconducting the interviews and appointments at the regular City Council Meeting\nof April 22, 2025. If the number of commission applicants is greater than ten\n(10), the City Council may decide to call a special meeting for one of the\nfollowing dates: Thursday, April 24, Tuesday, April 29, or Monday, May 5, 2025;\nor propose an alternative date to conduct interviews and appointments.
