F.2. USE OF LOS ANGELES UNIFIED SCHOOL\nDISTRICT (LAUSD) RECREATIONAL\nFACILITIES AFTER HOURS [J. HEILMAN, J.\nERICKSON, Y. QUARKER, A. LOVANO, J.\nDEL TORO, J. CARTER]:\nThe City Council will consider directing staff to\nexplore entering into a Memorandum of\nUnderstanding (MOU) between the City of\nWest Hollywood and Los Angeles Unified\nSchool District (LAUSD) for the use of\nrecreational facilities at local LAUSD schools\nby the public outside of school hours. Working\nwith LAUSD to provide public spaces serves\nas an interagency solution to providing\nresidents of West Hollywood with safe spaces\nto engage in physical activity, socialize, and\nparticipate in community programming.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Direct staff to\nexplore entering into an MOU between the City\nof West Hollywood and LAUSD for the use of\nLAUSD recreational facilities by the public\noutside of school hours; and 2) Direct staff to\ndetermine potential staffing, maintenance\ncosts, other potential impacts, and logistics for\nsuch an arrangement and return to City\nCouncil with recommendations.\nITEM F.2. - STAFF REPORT
