22. CONSIDER APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWENTY-SIX (26) GRIZZLY ADJUSTABLE BASKETBALL\nCOURT SYSTEMS THROUGH A PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH BSN SPORTS, LLC, AND A PUBLIC WORKS\nCONTRACT WITH BSN SPORTS, LLC TO REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF THE OLD SYSTEMS AND INSTALL\nTHE NEW ADJUSTABLE GRIZZLY COURT SYSTEMS AT CARSON, CALAS, DOLPHIN, DOMINGUEZ,\nHEMINGWAY, VETERANS AND STEVENSON PARKS (CITY COUNCIL)\nRECOMMENDED ACTION\n— 1. WAIVE the formal bidding procedures as defined by the Carson Municipal Code (CMC) Section\n2610, and APPROVE the Purchase Agreement with BSN Sports, LLC, an authorized dealer, for the\npurchase of twenty-six (26) Grizzly Adjustable Basketball Court Systems and additional accessories for\na total not-to-exceed cost of $133,864.49 (Exhibit No. 1; "Purchase Agreement"), utilizing the\ncooperative purchasing bidding exemption pursuant to CMC 2611(g) and Omnia Partners cooperative\npurchasing agreement #R201101 for purposes of compliance with the bidding requirements of the\npurchasing ordinance;\n— 2. APPROVE the proposed Public Works Agreement with BSN Sports, LLC for a total not-to-exceed\nContract Sum of $74,995.00 (Exhibit No. 2; "Public Works Agreement"); and\n— 3. AUTHORIZE Mayor to execute the Purchase Agreement and the Public Works Agreement, following\napproval as to form by the City Attorney.
