14. RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISED CLASS SPECIFICATIONS FOR\nENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT – WATER QUALITY,\nENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST – WATER QUALITY, SENIOR WATER\nUTILITY WORKER, WATER PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR, WATER UTILITY\nSUPERVISOR AND WATER UTILITY WORKER II – F2M25-2, R2M25-13\nAlhambra Municipal Code Section 2.48.070 (B) provides that before a class specification\nbecomes effective or other changes are made to the City’s Classification Plan, it shall first\nbe approved by the City Council. As needed, staff will periodically conduct a review of\nclass specifications to ensure that job requirements remain relevant and current. Class\nspecifications were updated to reflect a new agency certifying necessary water\ncertification requirements for each classification. Additionally, language in certain class\nspecifications were revised to clarify that necessary certifications are required “at time of\napplication.” No changes to the salary are proposed. Staff has discussed and reviewed\nthe changes to the class specifications with the Alhambra City Employees’ Association\n(ACEA) and the Alhambra Management Employees’ Association (AMEA) and both the\nACEA and AMEA are in agreement with the proposed changes.\nRecommended Action: City Council adopt Resolution No. R2M25-13 entitled: A\nResolution of the Alhambra City Council approving revised Class Specifications for\nEnvironmental Compliance Assistant – Water Quality, Environmental Compliance\nSpecialist – Water Quality, Senior Water Utility Worker, Water Production Supervisor,\nWater Utility Supervisor and Water Utility Worker II
