5. AUTHORIZE PARTICIPATION IN THE CLEAN POWER ALLIANCE ENERGIZED\nCOMMUNITIES PROGRAM FOR ELECTRIC FLEET TRANSITION – F2M17-49,\nM2M25-28\nAs a member of the Clean Power Alliance (CPA), the City is eligible for programs which\nprovide financial and technical support, such as the Energized Communities Program:\nPathways to Electrification. Under Pathways to Electrification, the Electric Fleet Transition\nProgram provides technical assistance up to $250,000 for planning and implementation\nfor municipal fleets. CPA has contracted with Optony, Inc. to provide services for member\nagencies. Under terms of the Electric Fleet Transition Program Participation Agreement,\nthe City would work directly with Optony to receive technical support to streamline fleet\nplanning, vehicle replacement, and installation of charging infrastructure.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve participation in the Clean Power\nAlliance (CPA) Energized Communities Program; authorize the City Manager, or\ndesignee, to execute the Electric Fleet Transition Program Participation Agreement and\nall documents related to program implementation; and, direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize Council’s action.
