4. CONTRACT EXTENSION: FAIR HOUSING SERVICES TO RESIDENTS AND\nLANDLORDS OF THE CITY OF ALHAMBRA – F2M20-47, C2M20-25, M2M25-27\nOn July 13, 2020, the City Council awarded a contract to the Housing Rights Center to\nprovide fair housing services to both residents and landlords within the City of Alhambra,\nwith a not to exceed amount of $25,000 per fiscal year. The initial term of the agreement\nwas five years, commencing July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2025. The contract also\nincluded an option to extend the services for up to two more years, contingent on\nsatisfactory performance. This requested contract amendment includes the two one-year\nperformance periods, as specified in the original agreement, starting July 1, 2025 and\nending June 30, 2027. The amendment, however, allows for a pricing change to the\ncontract in FY 2026-27 at $25,000 plus CPI (Consumer Price Index).\nRecommended Action: City Council approve two (2) one-year term contract\namendments, subject to final language approval by the City Manager and City Attorney,\nto the agreement with the Housing Rights Center (Contract No. C2M20-25) to provide fair\nhousing services to Alhambra residents and landlords, in an amount not to exceed\n$25,000 for FY 2025-26; and for FY 2026-27, a not to exceed amount of $25,000 plus the\nConsumer Price Index (CPI); and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize\nCouncil’s action.
