12.2 Legislative Update\nRECOMMENDATION: It is staff’s recommendation that the City\nCouncil receive and file this update.\nCONCLUSION: The League of California Cities serves as a valuable\nresource for cities, offering legislative advocacy and educational\nsupport. Through its efforts, Cal Cities provides opportunities for\ndeeper involvement in legislation that affects local governments by\nproviding tools to help expand and protect local control.
