G. Resolution Amending the Policy Regarding Acceptance of Gifts by Councilmembers, and Introduction\nand First Reading of an Ordinance Amending Municipal Code Section 2.32.290 Prohibiting\nAcceptance of Gratuities\nRecommended Action\nStaff recommends the City Council consider the following to allow Councilmembers to accept\ntickets to events where they are attending in their official capacity in support of the City’s\neconomic development efforts:\n1. Adopt a finding of no possibility of significant effect pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3)\n(Common Sense Exemption) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)\nGuidelines.\n2. Adopting a Resolution amending the policy regarding Councilmember’s acceptance of\ngifts.\n3. Introduce for First Reading an Amendment to SMMC 2.32.290 prohibiting acceptance of\ngratuities.\na.
