6. Approval of Amendment No. 1 to the Design Services Agreement with\nSouthern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) and Approval of a\nConstruction and Maintenance Agreement with SCRRA for the Crown Valley\nParkway Westbound Widening Project\nRecommendation\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Design Services Agreement (DSA) with\nthe Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA), increasing the\ntotal not-to-exceed design costs by $15,000 to $233,200; and\n2. Approve the Construction and Maintenance Agreement (C&MA) between\nthe SCRRA and the City of Laguna Niguel for the construction and\nmaintenance of the Crown Valley Parkway Overpass North Side Widening\nCrossing over the Metrolink Tracks at Metrolink’s Orange Subdivision MP\n193.20, CPUC Crossing No.: 101 OR-193.20-A, DOT No.: 026780C, in the\nCity of Laguna Niguel, Orange County, California; and\n3. Authorize the payment of incremental deposits representing costs for work\nto be performed by the SCRRA under the C&MA with a total not-to-exceed\nvalue of $1,387,822.00; and\n4. Authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to the DSA and\nexecute the C&MA with SCRRA, subject to the City Attorney making non-\nsubstantive changes.
