DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION OF INTENT AND\nAN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BOARD OF\nADMINISTRATION CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES’ RETIREMENT SYSTEM\n(CALPERS) AND THE CITY OF LOMITA\nPresented by Susan Kamada, Administrative Services Director\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution of Intention to approve an amendment to\ncontract between the Board of Administration California Public Employees’ Retirement\nSystem and the City of Lomita to remove cost share for second-tier classic local\nmiscellaneous members in the Unrepresented Executive Management Group, and\nauthorize staff to take any necessary related actions and sign any required forms, in a\nform approved by the City Attorney; and after conducting a public hearing, and after the\nCity Attorney reads the title, introduce on first reading an ordinance authorizing an\namendment to the contract between the City of Lomita and the Board of Administration\nof the California Public Employees’ Retirement System to remove cost sharing as stated\nabove Pursuant to Government Code Section 20516, and schedule the Ordinance for\nadoption at the first regular City Council meeting that is at least 20 days after the date\nthe ordinance is introduced.\nRESOLUTION NO. 2025-11- A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO APPROVE AN\nAMENDMENT TO CONTRACT BETWEEN BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION\nCALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES’ RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND THE CITY\nCOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOMITA\nORDINANCE NO 872 – AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF\nLOMITA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT\nBETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOMITA AND THE BOARD OF\nADMINISTRATION OF THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES’ RETIREMENT\nSYSTEM TO REDUCE COST-SHARING FOR THE UNREPRESENTED EXECUTIVE\nMANAGEMENT GROUP PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 20516.
