9.b. CONSIDERATION AND APROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 25-037,\nAPPROVING AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO PTM\nGENERAL ENGINEERING SERVICES, INC. FOR SYSTEMIC SAFETY\nIMPROVEMENTS AT SIGNALIZED INTERSECTIONS, HSIPL-\n5352(025), CITY PROJECT NO. 607\nOn January 29, 2025, the Engineering Department solicited bids for the\nSystemic Safety Improvements at Signalized Intersections Project. The\nwork involves installation of raised pavement markers, striping, pedestrian\ncrosswalks, and traffic signal adjustments (implementation of leading\npedestrian interval (LPI)) at twenty one (21) signalized intersections\ncitywide. The lowest responsive bid was submitted by PTM General\nEngineering Services, Inc. in the total bid amount of $327,027.00.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Adopt and approve the plans and specifications for the Systemic\nSafety Improvements at Signalized Intersections Project;\n2. Approve Resolution No. 25-037, awarding the Systemic Safety\nImprovements at Signalized Intersections Project contract to the\nlowest responsible bidder in an amount of $327,027.00 to PTM\nGeneral Engineering Services, Inc. and authorize the City Manager\nto execute the contract;\n3. Authorize fifteen percent (15%) of the total contract amount as\ncontingency allowance to be used if necessary for unforeseen\nconditions at the City Manager’s discretion.
