BRUGGEMEYER LIBRARY GENERATOR INSTALLATION – AWARD OF CONTRACT\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n(1) Authorizing the City Manager to execute a public works contract, in a form approved by\nthe City Attorney, with Pacific Power Engineering Technology, Inc., in the amount of\n$281,300 for the Bruggemeyer Library Generator Installation Project;\n(2) Authorizing the Director of Public Works to approve change orders and contingency up\nto $28,130 (10%) of the contract amount, for a total project cost of $309,430; and\n(3) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.\nCEQA (California Environmental Quality Act):\nThe City reviewed the environmental impacts of the proposed Ordinance pursuant to the\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code §§ 21000, et seq. “CEQA”) and\nthe regulations promulgated thereunder (14 Cal. Code of Regs. §§ 15000, et seq., the “CEQA\nGuidelines”). The proposed activity contemplates maintenance, repair, and operation of\nBruggemeyer Library by replacing mechanical equipment which involves no expansion of the\nexisting use.
