2.O. SPONSORSHIP OF A SCREENING AND\nDISCUSSION OF THE FILM AIDS DIVA: THE\nLEGEND OF CONNIE NORMAN AS PART OF THE\nHUMAN RIGHTS SPEAKERS SERIES [J.\nERICKSON, Y. QUARKER, A. LOVANO, J. DEL\nTORO]:\nThe City Council will consider sponsoring a film\nscreening of AIDS DIVA: The Legend of Connie\nNorman followed by an interactive discussion in\nconjunction with ONE Archives Foundation, as part\nof the Human Rights Speakers Series.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve the sponsorship\nof a Human Rights Speakers Series event, a special\nscreening of the film AIDS DIVA: The Legend of\nConnie Norman, followed by an interactive\ndiscussion in conjunction with ONE Archives\nFoundation; 2) Authorize the use of the City name\nand logo on invitations, programs, and other\ncollateral materials for the event; and 3) Direct the\nCommunications Department to utilize all appropriate\ncommunication tools to promote the events including,\nbut not limited to, the City's website, a press release,\nand social media tools.\nSTAFF REPORT
