Item 57: \nExemption of One Program Coordinator Position in the Department of Information Technology from the Classified Service.\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source:\nThe new unclassified one Program Coordinator position annual cost, including salaries and fringe benefits total approximately $160,000. Funds for this expense will be available in the Information Technology Fund. The position will be requested in the fiscal year 2024 budget process.\nCouncil District(s) Affected: Citywide.\nProposed Actions:\nAdopt the following Ordinance which was introduced on 12/6/2022, Item 52 (Council voted 7-1, Councilmember Moreno-nay, Councilmember Montgomery Steppe-not present):\n(O-2023-90)\nOrdinance authorizing the exemption of a Program Coordinator position in the City's Department of Information Technology from the Classified Service, based on advisory review and favorable comment by the Civil Service Commission on September 1, 2022. This Program Coordinator position will be responsible for managing fiscal and administrative operations for the Department.
