12. Adoption of a Resolution of Intention to Amend the CalPERS Contract and Introduction\nof First Reading of Ordinance Amending the CalPERS Contract for El Cajon Police\nOfficers' Association and Police Officers' Association Management Group\nRECOMMENDATION:\nThat the City Council adopts the next Resolution, in order, approving the intention to\namend the contract between the City of El Cajon (City) and the Board of Administration\nof the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) to provide cost\nsharing of an additional contribution of one percent for the El Cajon Police Officers’\nAssociation (POA) and El Cajon Police Officers’ Association Management Group\n(POAMG) CalPERS Classic members, under Government Code section 20516.\nAdditionally, that the City Council introduces the first reading of the next Ordinance, in\norder, amending the contract between the City and CalPERS to provide cost sharing of\nan additional contribution of one percent for the POA and POAMG CalPERS Classic\nmembers, under Government Code section 20516.\nCOMMISSION REPORTS:\nACTIVITIES REPORTS/COMMENTS OF MAYOR WELLS\nSANDAG (San Diego Association of Governments) Board of Directors.
