3. Oak Mesa Playground Replacement. The existing playground on the City owned property at\nOak Mesa, now over 28 years old, no longer meets safety or accessibility standards and must be\nreplaced. Staff recommends awarding a contract to Miracle Recreation Equipment Company\nthrough the SourceWell cooperative purchasing program for the installation of a new, ADA-\ncompliant play structure with rubberized surfacing and integrated shade.\nRecommendation: That the City Council:\n1. Award a contract to Miracle Recreation Equipment Company in the amount of\n$284,408.57 for the removal, site preparation, and installation of playground equipment\nat Oak Mesa Park; and\n2. Re-appropriate $299,409 for the Oak Mesa Playground Capital Improvement Project,\nPK2402 from the Park Development Fund to the Measure A Fund, which includes\n$15,000 for construction engineering and inspection of the project.
