31. Caregiver and Youth Support Services Sole Source Contract Amendment\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Children and Family Services to\nexecute an amendment to a caregiver and youth support services sole source\ncontract with Fostering UNITY, to extend the current contract, effective June 1,\n2025 through May 31, 2026, to initiate and complete a Request for Proposal\n(RFP) solicitation, with the maximum annual contract amount for the extension\nof $297,500, 100% financed using Flexible Family Supports funds provided by\nAssembly Bill 179, with sufficient funding to be included in the Department of\nChildren and Family Services Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget Request; and\nauthorize the Director to take the following actions: (Department of Children\nand Family Services) APPROVE\nExecute amendments to the contract to meet program needs, provided\nthat applicable Federal, State and County contracting regulations are\nobserved, and sufficient funding is available;\nExecute amendments to increase or decrease the maximum annual\ncontract amount up to a total of 10% per year during the term of the\ncontract, to accommodate any increase or decrease in service, provided\nthat sufficient funding is available;\nExecute amendments in instances of acquisitions, mergers, or other\nchanges in ownership;\nTerminate the contract for contractor’s default, County's convenience, or\ncontractor initiates termination for convenience, if necessary; and\nExtend the contract for two years effective June 1, 2026 through May 31,\n2028, if necessary, to complete the RFP solicitation process, provided\nthat sufficient funding is available.
