Acquisition of Maintenance Equipment\nRecommendation: Approve and authorize the Director of Internal Services, as\nthe County's purchasing agent, to purchase 14 maintenance equipment items,\nincluding heavy-duty trucks and off-road equipment items that are essential to\nsupport the Department of Public Works' operations and will be used to perform\nspecialized services, each with a unit cost that may exceed $250,000, to enable\nthe Department of Public Works to replace maintenance equipment that has\npassed its useful life and continue to provide critical maintenance services to\nCounty residents in an efficient manner; and find that the proposed action is not\na project under the California Environmental Quality Act.
