INTRODUCTION, CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF FIRST\nREADING OF ORDINANCE NO. 1283, REPEALING CHAPTERS 3.20\nTHROUGH 3.36 UNDER TITLE 3 OF THE SOUTH EL MONTE\nMUNICIPAL CODE\nOn October 8, 2024, Staff held a Finance Workshop to seek direction from\nCity Council regarding Title 3, Revenue and Finance, of the South El Monte\nMunicipal Code. Staff is bringing back this item for City Council’s\nconsideration and approval to repeal Chapters 3.20 through 3.36 under\nTitle 3 of the South El Monte Municipal Code.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Receive a brief presentation from City staff and pose questions to City\nstaff; and\n2. Approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 1283, repealing Chapters\n3.20 through 3.36 of the South El Monte Municipal Code.
