3-E. ADOPTION OF THE CITY OF MONTEREY PARK’S UPDATED LOCAL HAZARD\nMITIGATION PLAN\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n(1) Adopting a resolution approving the City of Monterey Park’s Updated Local Hazard\nMitigation Plan; and\n(2) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.\nCEQA (California Environmental Quality Act):\nThe City reviewed the environmental impacts of the extension under the California Environmental\nQuality Act (Public Resources Code §§ 21000, et seq. “CEQA”) and the regulations promulgated\nthereunder (14 Cal. Code of Regs. §§ 15000, et seq., the “CEQA Guidelines”). This activity\nconcerns adoption of a policy document that does not contemplate any physical changes to the\nenvironment. Accordingly, this activity is exempt from further review.
