Item 56: Third Amendment to the Salesforce Software and Services Agreement between the\nCity of San Diego and Carahsoft Technology Corporation.\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source:\nThis amendment increases the not-to-exceed amount of the original as-needed agreement\nby $12,000,000 to a total of $20,500,000 over the term which expires in November 2029.\nExpenditure of funds for as needed services is contingent upon sufficient funding being\navailable in each participating City department's budget each fiscal year. Approximate\nFY26 estimated costs include $1,400,000 from Enterprise Funds and $700,000 from\nGeneral Fund (costs have already been budgeted for FY26).\nCouncil District(s) Affected: Citywide.\nProposed Actions:\n(O-2025-112)\nIntroduction of an Ordinance authorizing the Mayor, or designee, to enter into and sign\nthe Third Amendment to the Salesforce Software and Services Agreement with Carahsoft\nTechnology Corporation, increasing the not-to-exceed amount by $12,000,000 for\ncontinuation of Salesforce license and subscription services and the as-needed expansion\nof the platform to allow City departments to purchase Salesforce licenses under this\nAgreement, for a term extending through November 2, 2029, bringing the total Agreement\nvalue to a not-to-exceed amount of $20,500,000, and related funding actions.\n6 votes required pursuant to Charter Section 99.\nCommittee Actions Taken:\nThis item was heard at the Rules Committee on April 16, 2025.\nACTION: Motion by Committee Member Elo-Rivera, second by Chair LaCava to\nrecommend Council approval of staff’s proposed actions.\nVOTE: 4-1; LaCava-yea, Lee-yea, Campillo-yea, Elo-Rivera-yea, Moreno-Nay.\nPerformance & Analytics: Alex Hempton, (619) 384-4468\nCity Attorney Contact: Markecia Simmons
