Item 66: Proposed Amendment to San Diego Municipal Code to Implement Measure A re:\nRetention and Use of Independent Legal Counsel for the City Auditor and Audit\nCommittee.\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source: N/A\nCouncil District(s) Affected: Citywide.\nProposed Actions:\nAdopt the following Ordinance that was introduced on 4/22/2025, Item 618, (Council\nvoted 9-0):\n(O-2025-113)\nOrdinance amending Chapter 2, Article 6, Division 17 of the San Diego Municipal Code\nby amending sections 26.1701 and 26.1710, and adding section 26.1712, relating to the\nCity Auditor, Audit Committee, and Independent Legal Counsel.\nCommittee Actions Taken:\nThis item was heard at the Audit Committee meeting on March 12, 2025.\nMotion by Committee Member Halpern, second by Committee Member Tabshouri to:\n1. Forward and recommend the City Council adopt the proposed amendments to the San\nDiego Municipal Code to implement Measure A; and\n2.
