SCHARE]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will receive an overview of strategies\ndesigned to promote a respectful and positive environment in public\nmeetings, support civil discourse, and provide tools for effectively\naddressing disruptions. In addition, the City Council will consider\nestablishing a standing subcommittee to conduct a review of the Code of\nConduct for Elected and Appointed Officials and recommend updates. The\nCouncil will also provide input on a draft Administrative Regulation\nintended to establish clear standards for creating a positive environment in\npublic meetings, encouraging respect, and handling disruptions.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Establish an ad hoc subcommittee to conduct\na review of the Code of Conduct for Elected and Appointed Officials and\nrecommend updates, if any; and 2) Provide feedback, if any, regarding\nstrategies designed to promote a respectful and positive environment in\npublic meetings, support civil discourse, and provide tools for effectively\naddressing disruptions, and regarding a draft Administrative Regulation\nintended to establish clear standards for creating a positive environment in\npublic meetings, encouraging respect, and handling disruptions.
