1. Consideration of recommended traffic measures for Palos Verdes Drive East\nfrom Crest Road to Palos Verdes Drive South. (Casil) (60 mins)\nRecommendation: 1) Adopt Resolution No. 2025-__, A RESOLUTION OF\nTHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES\nAPPROVING THE ENGINEERING TRAFFIC STUDY RECOMMENDATIONS\nAND ESTABLISHING A SPEED LIMIT OF 35 MILES PER HOUR FOR PALOS\nVERDES DRIVE EAST (PVDE) FROM CREST ROAD TO PALOS VERDES\nDRIVE SOUTH (PVDS); 2) Approve replacing the existing landscaping in the\nmedian between PVDE and the spur road with slow growing plantings that will\nbe maintained at a maximum height of 30 inches as measured from the top of\nthe median curb; 3) Approve moving the stop bar on Ganado Drive to the\nflowline of PVDE; 4) Direct Staff to upgrade the signs and pavement markings\non PVDE from Crest Road to PVDS based on the General Technologies and\nSolutions (GTS) Traffic Study with modifications as deemed appropriate by the\nPublic Works Director; 5) Approve 5 foot-wide bicycle lanes on PVDE from\nCrest Road to Vista Del Mar as part of the next PVDE roadway slurry\nsealing/re-paving CIP project; 6) Direct Staff to prioritize traffic law\nenforcement on PVDE between Crest Road and PVDS to the extent allowable\nby enforcement resources and competing priorities; and, 7) Direct staff to\nconduct an after action study at least one year after implementation of the\ntraffic measures and speed limit reductions for the City Council's review to\ndetermine whether additional measures should be implemented including\nfurther reducing speed limits.\nAgenda Report
