7) CONSIDERATION OF RATIFICATION OF AUTHORIZATIONS PROVIDED IN CONNECTION\nWITH THE WEST COVINA CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION DINNER, THE CENTENNIAL\nSPRING FESTIVAL, AND THE 2023 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION\nIt is recommended that the City Council find that compliance with the City's bidding requirements\nIt is recommended that the City Council find that compliance with the City's bidding requirements\nand procedures is impractical in connection with the procurements of carnival services for the\nCentennial Spring Festival and fireworks displays for the Centennial Celebration Dinner and the\n2023 4th of July Celebration, and ratify the following authorizations provided in connection with\nthe Centennial Celebration Dinner, the Centennial Spring Festival, and the 2023 4th of July\nCelebration:\na. Agreement with Pyro Spectaculars, Inc. for fireworks for the Centennial Celebration Dinner\nwith a cost of $12,000.\nb. Agreement with Paul Maurer dba Paul Maurer Shows for carnival services for Centennial\nSpring Festival.\nc. Agreement with Pyro Spectaculars, Inc. for fireworks for the City's 4th of July with a cost of\n$35,000.\nd. Permit for fireworks display at West Covina Sportsplex for Centennial Celebration Dinner.\ne. In exchange for Film It West Covina's assistance with promotion, ticket sales, set-up,\ntear-down, ticket distribution and providing festival activities including over 300 hours of\nvolunteer service, Film It West Covina will receive a donation of $2,223.90 from the carnival\nride sales.
