12. Command Vehicle Technology Purchase and Competitive Bidding Waiver\nRecommendation 5\n1. Waive purchasing procedures for the $132,195 purchase of advanced\ncommand vehicle technology for an existing vehicle obtained from\nChevron in 2019. Pursuant to El Segundo Municipal Code § 1-7-9(A),\nthe fire department is serving the City's best interests and is requesting a\ndirect award of a contract without the competitive selection process.\n2. Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute any agreement or\nother documentation necessary to effectuate the command vehicle\ntechnology purchase.\n3. Alternatively, discuss and take alternative action.
