I.12\nAUTHORIZATION TO CONTINUE THE HOMELESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM\nAND HOMELESS TO WORK PROGRAM TO ASSIST WITH ADDRESSING\nHOMELESSNESS (REPORT OF: FINANCIAL AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES)\n(DISTRICT: ALL DISTRICTS)\nAuthorization To Continue The Homeless Assistance Program And Homeless To\nWork Program To Assist With Addressing Homelessness\n6\n\nRecommendation(s)\nThat the City Council:\n1. Authorize the City to continue collaborating with The Salvation Army on two\nprograms, Homeless Assistance Program and Homeless To Work Program, aimed at\nproviding members of the community who are experiencing homelessness access to\nessential services and employment; and\n2. Award three-year Agreements to The Salvation Army for two programs in an\namount not to exceed $600,000 to provide professional services through the\nHomeless Assistance Program ($300,000) and Homeless to Work Program\n($300,000) for Fiscal Years 2025/26 through 2027/28;\n3. Authorize the issuance of annual purchase orders for The Salvation Army each\nfiscal year of the Agreement term, subject to funds available in the City Council\napproved Operating Budget; and\n3. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute any subsequent amendments,\npurchase orders and/or change orders, contingent upon approved budget, with\nconcurrence of the City Attorney.
