F. ORDINANCE NO. 719: ADOPTION OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF\nFORESTRY AND FIRE PROTECTION FIRE HAZARD SEVERITY ZONE MAP –\nSECOND READING AND ADOPTION\nOrdinance No. 719 will adopt the California Department of Forestry and Fire\nProtection Fire Hazard Severity Zone maps for Local Responsibility Areas, in\naccordance with California Government Code Section 51179. Ordinance No.\n719 was introduced and the first reading was conducted by title only by a 5-0\nvote of the City Council at the June 3, 2025 City Council meeting. The Fiscal Year\n2024-2025 Adopted Budget includes the cost for required legal publication\n(Account No. 121-702-00-65-000) and codification (Account No. 121-702-0022-000) of the ordinance.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: The adoption of the\nupdated Fire Hazard Severity Zone map is exempt from CEQA Guidelines under\nSection 15061(b)(3).\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council waive full reading and adopt Ordinance\nNo. 719, adding Chapter 96 “Fire Protection and Prevention” to Title IX “General\nRegulations” of the San Gabriel Municipal Code.
