2. Waive full reading and adopt Interim Urgency Ordinance No.\n958-U extending the temporary prohibition on the\nacceptance, processing, and approval of licenses, permits,\napprovals, or other entitlements for use, including any\nmodification thereof, for cannabis retail businesses for a\nperiod of ten (10) months and fifteen (15) days.\nCONCLUSION: Interim Urgency Ordinance No. 958-U (extension of\nInterim Urgency Ordinance No. 956-U) would cease intake and further\nprocessing of new cannabis retail business applications, and\nmodification of existing applications, citywide to ensure community\nstability and economic vitality by addressing concerns related to\nexposure to minors and over-proliferation of cannabis uses.
