12.\nAdoption of a Resolution of Intention to Amend the CalPERS Contract and Introduction\nof First Reading of Ordinance Amending the CalPERS Contract\nRECOMMENDATION:\nIn order to provide cost sharing of an additional contribution of one percent by\nunrepresented police Executive Management CalPERS Classic members, as allowed\nby Government Code section 20516, that the City Council:\n1. Adopts the next Resolution, in order, approving its intention to amend the\ncontract between the City of El Cajon (City) and the Board of Administration of\nthe California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS); and\n2. Introduces, for first reading, the next Ordinance, in order, amending the contract\nbetween the City and CalPERS.
