Item S501:\nRepeal Existing Fees for Automated Collection Containers, Including Container\nDelivery Charges. (Added 6/18/25)\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source:\nThe Automated Refuse Container Fund (200302) will no longer receive revenue from the\ncontainer replacement fee. Estimated yearly revenue that will no longer be collected is $2\nmillion. Removal of the fee will make the fund obsolete. ESD has proposed to transfer the\nremaining balance of approximately $2.12 million from that fund to the new Solid Waste\nManagement Fund (700123) to support container-related expenditures.\nCouncil District(s) Affected: Citywide.\nProposed Actions:\n(R-2025-641)\nResolution repealing existing, separate automated container fees authorized by Resolution\nR-283379 and R-303202 and currently set forth in the waste management regulations,\neffective July 1, 2025, and all related actions.\nCommittee Actions Taken: N/A\nEnvironmental Services: Kirby Brady, (619) 249-2735\nCity Attorney Contact: Nicole M.
