9L.\nACCEPTANCE OF THE 8880 PACIFIC AVENUE DEMOLITION AND ABATEMENT\nPROJECT BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STANTON, CALIFORNIA\nThe demolition and abatement of the vacant four-unit building located at 8880 Pacific\nAvenue has been successfully completed. The final construction cost for this portion of\nthe overall project was $75,000. The City Engineer has certified that all work was\ncompleted in accordance with project specifications as of June 3, 2025. Staff\nrecommends the City Council formally accept the completed improvements, approve the\nfinal contract amount, and authorize the filing of the Notice of Completion.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that the project is categorically exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15301(l)(3), Class 1 – minor\nalteration and demolition of existing small structures; and\n2. Accept the completed improvements for the 8880 Pacific Avenue Demolition and\nAbatement Project as certified by the City Engineer, and establish June 3, 2025, as\nthe official date of completion; and\n3. Approve the final construction contract amount of $75,000 with Integrated Demolition\nand Remediation, Inc.; and\n4. Direct the City Clerk to file the Notice of Completion with the Orange County ClerkRecorder within ten (10) days of project acceptance (Attachment A); and\nStanton City Council Agenda\n5. Authorize City staff to release the retention payment of $3,750 to Integrated\nDemolition and Remediation, Inc. following the statutory 35-day lien period after filing\nof the Notice of Completion.
