8.\nCity Hall Council Chamber Improvement Project (CIP No. 50074) – Award of\nConstruction Contract.\n(500)\nRecommendation:\n1. Approve the plans and specifications for the City Hall Council Chamber\nImprovement Project (Project), CIP No. 50074;\n2. Award a Construction Contract for an not-to-exceed amount of $789,600 to\nEstate Design and Construction, Inc. for the Project and authorize the City\nManager to execute the contract in a form approved by the City Attorney;\n3. Authorize the City Manager or his designee, to approve change orders, as\nneeded, in an amount not-to-exceed $160,000 (approximately 20% of the\ntotal contract amount) for construction contingency; and\n4. Approve the Notice of Exemption (NOE) for the subject project and\nauthorize the City Clerk to file the NOE with the County Recorder, in\naccordance with the California Environmental Quality Act.\nAgreement No. _________
