4.\nCONSIDERATION OF A BUDGET AMENDMENT AND ADOPTION OF\nRESOLUTION R25-23 APPROVING THE USE OF CITIZENS OPTIONS FOR\nPUBLIC SAFETY (COPS) FUNDS (PVE FUND 05) NOT TO EXCEED\n$12,000.00 TO PURCHASE AND INSTALL A BREATH ALCOHOL TESTING\nINSTRUMENT; AND AUTHORIZATION TO THE CITY MANAGER TO\nEXECUTE RELATED DOCUMENTS\nRecommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council: 1) Authorize\na budget amendment to utilize $12,000 from Fund 05 - Supplemental Law\nEnforcement Services Account (SLESA) (also known as Citizens Options\nfor Public Safety (COPS) funds) to purchase and install a breath alcohol\ntesting instrument; (2) Adopt resolution R25-23 to approve the use of\nCitizens Options for Public Safety (COPS) funds not to exceed $12,000\nfor the purchase and installation; and (3) authorize the City Manager to\nexecute related documents on behalf of the City and authorize the\nFinance Department to make such accounting entries for this change\norder as deemed appropriate.\nStaff Report\nAttachment A
