5. AWARD CONTRACT: ELECTRICAL UPGRADING ON WELL NO. 9 – F2M22-36,\nN2M23-11, C2M23-16, M2M23-40\nOn January 23, 2023, the City Council approved the distribution of Notice Inviting Bids for\nthe Electrical Upgrading on Well No. 9. On March 9, 2023, bids were opened by the City\nClerk. Two bids were received in the amounts of $359,552.00 and $493,000.00. Faith\nElectric LLC submitted the lowest qualified bid at $359,552.00. Staff reviewed the bid\nsubmitted by Faith Electric LLC and found it to be in full compliance and conformance with\nthe project specifications.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, by and between the City of Alhambra and\nFaith Electric LLC, for the Electrical Upgrading on Well No. 9 in an amount not to exceed\n$359,552.00; find the Electrical Upgrading on Well No. 9 categorically exempt from CEQA\npursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (b); and, direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize Council’s action.
