4. AWARD CONTRACT: ASSESSMENT AND REHABILITATION OF THE SEWER MAIN\nAT SEWER LIFT STATION NO. 3 – F2M22-27, N2M23-12, C2M23-15, M2M23-39\nOn January 23, 2023, the City Council approved the distribution of Notice Inviting Bids for\nthe Assessment and Rehabilitation of the Sewer Main at Sewer Lift Station No. 3. On\nMarch 16, 2023, bids were opened by the City Clerk. Two bids were received in the\namounts of $289,050.00 and $413,727.00. Bonadiman Water Inc. submitted the lowest\n3\n3-27-23\nqualified bid at $289,050.00. Staff reviewed the bid submitted by Bonadiman Water Inc.\nand found it to be in full compliance and conformance with the project specifications.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, by and between the City of Alhambra and\nBonadiman Water Inc. for the Assessment and Rehabilitation of the Sewer Main at Sewer\nLift Station No. 3 in an amount not to exceed $289,050.00; find the Assessment and\nRehabilitation of the Sewer Main at Sewer Lift Station No. 3 categorically exempt from\nCEQA pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (b); and, direct staff to undertake the\nsteps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
